Fractions

In Chapter 6, we will study rational expressions, which are essentially fractions whose numerator and denominator may be a polynomial.  In order to work with rational expressions, it is ABSOLUTELY ESSENTIAL that you know how to simplify (i.e., reduce) and perform arithmetic operations on fractions WITHOUT USING A CALCULATOR (a calculator will not help you perform arithmetic operations on rational expressions).  The documents below are a good starting point if you need to review fractions.  The first document was distributed in class.

Practice Exercises - Review of Fractions
This document contains a set of exercises to help you determine how well you understand fractions and which topics require further review. There is also a list of resources to help you review.
